Simon Rubinsohn is the Chief Economist at the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). He began a 15+ year tenure with the RICS after serving as Senior Strategist at Barclays Wealth where he was part of a team responsible for running the multi-manager investment portfolios and helping to develop structured products to widen the client offering.
In his current role at RICS, Rubinsohn is responsible for leading the organization’s research and analysis of global property markets including overseeing the suite of high profile sentiment surveys. He is also responsible for providing economic analysis and forecasts to RICS members and external stakeholders.
Rubinsohn is a well-known economist who has been quoted in a wide range of publications including The Financial Times and The Wall Street Journal. He has also regularly appears on news programmes as an expert commentator on economic issues.
