Priya Prakash Royal is a cross-border private client tax attorney, governance strategist, expert witness, and author with over 20 years of experience advising multinational families, founders, and high and ultra-high net worth individuals on tax strategy, estate planning, and structural risk.
She began her career in private practice before serving as an Estate & Gift Tax Attorney at the Internal Revenue Service — where she examined complex returns and negotiated with taxpayer representatives on large and prominent estates involving charitable trusts, grantor trusts, family limited partnerships, FBAR compliance, and valuation issues. She was part of a team audit of a billion-dollar estate, with partnership tax issues escalated to the IRS National Office.
She is the Founder of Royal Law Firm PLLC, a cross-border private client boutique serving multinational families, NRIs, founders, and philanthropists across the U.S. and internationally since 2009. She is also the co-founder and Editor-in-Chief of Klexa, a governance and decision-architecture platform that delivers the Klexa Method™ — a structured analytical framework for decisions that cross legal, financial, and generational domains.
